Expertise is Special Sauce in DataEndure

November 22, 2016

A big problem I have with shopping today is a lack of expertise. For instance, ever try to ask a few questions at Best Buy? The responses can be quite hit or miss. So if I’m not confident that what you say is how the product or system will work, why then should I purchase from you? While I wouldn’t say there’s a shortage of expertise in the tech space, there is a shortage of firms that include building a team of experts a priority.

DataEndure is a 34 year-old company that focuses on providing digital resilience in this era of digital transformation. Built on the four pillars of data security, information management, storage and infrastructure, the firm serves as both an integrator and reseller, and this family run business has been focused on leveraging its expertise to deliver solutions that best fit your needs.

Chief Technology Officer at DataEndure Shahin Pirooz explained at Editors Day Silicon Valley, “We specialize in putting together practices that

solve a specific problem.” Pirooz proudly touted the firm having “some of the deepest expertise in the world,” and as a result it has taken a different approach to sales.

DataEndure goes in with a solution; take information management where there is a focus on backup and recovery, for example. One of the issues that comes into play is that storage is on a four year refresh cycle, Pirooz explained, “so every four years maintenance is more expensive than buying new storage…we have integration technology…dynamic software to migrate dark data to leverage cheaper cloud.”

The vertical based component coupled with the expertise of DataEndure’s approach serves as means to differentiate from the space. As Pirooz noted, “The people that do the work are focused on that area,” experts put all the pieces together.

“When you’re about to make a technology decision of any kind, we should be the first place you call,” Pirooz stated, “our customers know the big household brand names, and our customers know that if we are not the subject matter experts in that area that we will point them in the right direction.” DataEndure does the technology patchwork and heavy lifting so you can rest assured operations are optimized to your needs.

Expertise doesn’t just happen in a day. Much like the building of Rome, it takes time, focus, diligence and a whole lot of hard work to accrue. What’s new isn’t always what’s best, so let the experts point you in a direction so that your data endures.

Day 2, Cisco Live!

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.
