Industry First Nets Fiber Mountain Best in Show

February 09, 2016

As we’ve seen with each iteration of ITEXPO, the event explores transformational technology and provides a platform for industry innovation. A trend, not just at ITEXPO, but in the space as a whole is a shift toward software and automation. By virtualizing environments, firms are able to quickly spin up or down bandwidth and network support in a matter of minutes. Where much of today’s tasks are mundane just a few short years ago they required hours or days to implement. The data center is a network’s backbone, all applications and services rely on a flexible and resilient deployment to ensure high quality of service.

One company leading the SDN / NFV push is Fiber Mountain. The Connecticut-based firm, known as the Glass Core company, is not just a seasoned ITEXPO veteran but former Best in Show winner. At the show, the network transformation firm unleashed its newest solution, the CrossCage Plus.

The CrossCage Plus is the first automated Meet-Me-Room cross connect solution for multi tenant data centers. The release addresses the manual constraints of the Meet-Me-Room by completing collocation data center cross-connect requests in seconds.  And, at the recent industry event, the solution earned another Best in Show award for the trophy case.

Fiber Mountain Founder and CEO H.M. Raza exclaimed to TMC, “We thank the ITEXPO judges for the recognition and this award. It independently validates the CrossCage Plus solution which is being implemented in forward thinking service providers.” Raza and his team exist on the forefront of innovation, no time to sit on laurels, only time to trudge forward into exciting developments in SDN / NFV and the network.

TMC CEO and Conference Chairman Rich Tehrani noted, “With each event, we are more impressed with the number of exhibitors presenting innovative and exciting solutions.” Having watched the industry evolve, each ITEXPO introduces a new chapter in the volumes of innovation. This is merely the tip of the software-based iceberg, stay tuned there is most definitely more to come.

Congratulations Fiber Mountain…What’s next?

Day 2, Cisco Live!

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.
