FiberLight and Carrier-1 Come Together for Better Access from Infomart Dallas

The demands data center and network operators face seem to increase daily. Everyone from large enterprises to individuals want more bandwidth and faster delivery for the content and services they are trying to access. A new partnership between FiberLight and Carrier-1 Data Centers will give both organizations more gateways for direct access and unlimited connectivity options to network, cloud and Internet Service Providers (ISP) that reside in the North Texas Carrier-1 facility.

Infomart Dallas, as it is known, is one of the most connected carrier-neutral data centers in the nation, and the hub of connectivity for the Southern U.S. The 106,866 square foot data center building has access to more than 95 network carriers with 100 percent uptime, while meeting all of the compliance requirements, including PCI, HIPAA and SOX.

This type of reliability is essential for FiberLight, which provides high performance fiber optic network solutions for telecom carriers, government, enterprise, content providers and web-centric businesses. The company owns in excess of 1,600,000 miles of robust fiber networks in over 44 key growth areas in US cities, including Texas. Additionally, it maintains over 17,000 backbone access points, 1,700 on-net locations and presence in nearly 100 data centers across the country.

This gives FiberLight multiple redundancies to ensure the companies its serves are always operational. The presence FiberLight has in Texas includes more than 11,000 miles of fiber that brings critical, high-bandwidth applications to its customers with a secure, scalable and reliable performance networks. The company offers carrier-class services over its best-in-class fiber infrastructure with low latency transport over dedicated networks.

Since FiberLight builds, owns and puts its network to work, it is able to provide a responsive and end-to-end customer service, from quote to invoice to maintenance services, along with availability supported with a set of robust protection options. This includes Ethernet, dedicated Internet access, Wavelength Service (DWDM) and dark fiber.

One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.
