October 08, 2016

In the Transforming Network Infrastructure Community we address the bleeding edge in technology and solutions enabling this “renovation” to take place. From the cloud to NFV, SDN, optical and more, there is no shortage of development taking place. And, with the weekend upon us, there’s no better time than the present to take a look at the week that was in network transformation: Time for the Week in Review!

With SDN surging, Kubernetes 1.4 strengthened SDN security in Weaveworks’ Weave Net 1.7. “In Weave Net 1.7, we have now provided integration with Kubernetes security policies. So you can now have fine-grained security controls with Weave Net, specifying policies in Kubernetes and having it all automatically applied by Weave Net,” explained Kubernetes COO Matthew Lodge. Also in the news, Digital Realty announced the arrival of its Service Exchange Interconnection service. The new service comes as the result of a partnership with Megaport, which allows customers to control network access via desktop, phone and the Megaport API. Day 2, Cisco Live!

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. I think this is a very good idea.

Day 1, Cisco Live!

Fiber Mountain is exhibiting at Cisco Live! In Las Vegas for the first time ever! Our first day was hugely successful from just about any perspective - from quantity and quality of booth visitors to successful meetings with customers.
