TierPoint will manage the Nutanix-powered solution in house and make the new service available in 40 U.S. data centers, all of which are HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GLBA, and SSAE 18 compliant. TierPoint can also customize the core service, according to clients' unique needs, with options such as managing past the hypervisor into the operating system and/or seamlessly integrating other managed services like storage, backup, disaster recovery, next-generation firewall, and other advanced security features.

"We prioritized the development of this service because our clients are increasingly asking about the benefits of both private cloud and hyperconverged infrastructure solutions," said Rob Carter, TierPoint Senior Vice President of Product Development, Architecture and Engineering. "By collaborating with a cloud software and hyperconverged infrastructure leader to build this Nutanix-powered service, we're well positioned to smplify and accelerate the installation of private clouds, while enhancing their ongoing support and scalability into multiple, hybrid-cloud deployment options."

"A majority of IT organizations identify hybrid cloud as their ideal application platform, as seen in Nutanix's 2018 Enterprise Cloud Index survey. This is why we are excited about collaborating with TierPoint to bring its Nutanix-powered private cloud service to market," said Dave Gwyn, Nutanix SVP, Sales – Americas, East, West, Public Sector and LATAM. "TierPoint's service offering powered by the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud software – coupled with TierPoint's commitment to customers' success – will help IT organizations large and small make true hybrid cloud deployment a reality."

TierPoint is already in the process of installing Nutanix-based solutions for several clients and has a growing list of similar opportunities in its sales pipeline. TierPoint is also planning other related product releases this year, including Nutanix Enterprise Cloud software-based Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS).

Day 2, Cisco Live!

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.
