Global Convergence, Inc. (GCI) Welcomes Napatech, the Leading Provider of Reconfigurable Computing Platforms, to its Open Networking Solutions Portfolio

OLDSMAR, Fla., June 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Convergence, Inc., a Value Added Distribution and IT services company, today announced a partnership agreement with Napatech (OSLO:NAPA.OL), the leading provider of reconfigurable computing hardware and software solutions. GCI will sell, market and distribute Napatech’s SmartNIC software, hardware and the Pandion network recorder, a fully scalable, capture-to-disk solution that captures, stores and retrieves all network data to enhance management and security applications, to its value-added reseller and solution provider community.

The Napatech Reconfigurable Computing Platform improves the performance of leading IT applications for networking, security, big data, analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Their FPGA-based SmartNIC software and hardware offloads and accelerates burdensome workloads within standard server platforms, returning valuable CPU resources to the applications and services they were intended for.

“We are focused on expanding our end-user channel presence in the North American market,” said Joe Seiferth, vice president, Worldwide Channel Sales at Napatech.  “We wanted to partner with a Value-Added Distributor that can effectively represent our FPGA-based solutions. GCI is exactly the partner we were looking for to help us meet the needs of our customers.”

“GCI is very pleased to welcome Napatech as a technology partner that strongly complements our high-growth portfolio of open and disaggregated networking solutions,” said Jim Bradshaw, chairman ad CEO at Global Convergence.  “An ongoing challenge that channel partners face is to seamlessly support their commercial customer requirements to monitor, compile and analyze the ever-increasing volumes of data flowing through their networks – the Napatech solutions help mitigate that challenge.”

Day 3, Cisco Live!

Day 3 of Cisco Live is history! For Fiber Mountain, we continued to enjoy visits from decision makers and influencers who were eager to share their data center and structured cabling challenges.

Day 2, Cisco Live!

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.

Day 1, Cisco Live!

Fiber Mountain is exhibiting at Cisco Live! In Las Vegas for the first time ever! Our first day was hugely successful from just about any perspective - from quantity and quality of booth visitors to successful meetings with customers.
