eStruxture Data Centers Names James Beer as SVP of Operations and Nicolas Vanasse as SVP, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary

MONTREAL, May 9, 2018 /CNW/ -- eStruxture, a provider of network and cloud-neutral data center solutions across Canada, announces today the addition of James Beer as SVP of Operations and Nicolas Vanasse as SVP, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. Through their new roles, James and Nicolas will help the company expand its leadership position as a national provider of hyperscale data center solutions across Canada.

"Since its inception in 2017, eStruxture has been continually expanding, first in Montreal and now in Vancouver," says Todd Coleman, President & CEO of eStruxture. "As a result, we felt it was time to add two highly qualified individuals to our team. As SVP of Operations, James will help us ensure best-in-class technical support for our customers' mission-critical, data-intensive IT needs. Similarly, Nic, as Chief Legal Officer, will provide vital legal expertise for our future growth across Canada. Both appointments underscore our commitment to serving as trusted advisors in the Canadiandata center market."

As the new SVP of Operations, James Beer brings over 20 years of experience in customer service, mission critical operations, data center design and build, managed services, security and compliance. In addition to data center and security leadership roles at Q9 and Bell Canada, he previously worked as VP of Services at Scalar Decisions where he oversaw the delivery of complex IT infrastructure, security and cloud solutions for the company's customers.

With 17 years of business and legal experience, Nicolas Vanasse also brings keen acumen regarding commercial and corporate transactions to eStruxture. Previously, he was Executive VP, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Lumenpulse Inc., a manufacturer of specification-grade LED lighting solutions for commercial environments. Nicolas has in-depth knowledge of financing and M&A transactions, which eStruxture has been consistently pursuing over the past year.

Earlier this year, eStruxture acquired Kolotek from Gaz Metro Plus in a move that gave the company its third facility in Montreal. In April, eStruxture reached a major milestone with its acquisition of Backbone Datavault, a Vancouver-based colocation provider. Because of the deal, the company can now support the growth of enterprises in both Western and Eastern Canada. eStruxture's rapid expansion across Canada has been facilitated by the $180 million in committed capital it obtained in January 2018 from lead investors Canderel, La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Fengate Real Asset Investments.

Day 2, Cisco Live!

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.
