GTT Named Washington Business Journal Fastest Growing Company

November 03, 2017

GTT Communications, Inc. announced that, for the fourth time, the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) recognized it as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Washington, D.C. region. The ranking is based on the three-year revenue growth rate for each company. GTT is a global cloud networking provider of multinational clients.

“We are proud to be recognized as one of the region’s fastest growing companies by the Washington Business Journal. This award reflects GTT’s growing leadership in the market and the outstanding contributions of the entire GTT team as we deliver on our purpose of connecting people across organizations and around the world,” shared Rick Calder, GTT president and CEO.

Virginia-based GTT has a consistent and focused growth strategy of providing cloud network services to multinational clients. It has also extended secure network connectivity anywhere in the world and to any app in the cloud. This year, GTT acquired Hibernia Networks and Global Capacity while launching new services, including optical transport and DDoS mitigation.

Its SD-WAN service leverages GTT’s Tier 1 Internet backbone and comprehensive, cost-efficient span of broadband and internet connectivity options. Its Tier 1 IP network is ranked in the top five on a worldwide scale.

GTT has had several other wins this year, including Light Reading’s Leading Lights Award for Company of the Year, Stevie Awards for Company of the Year, Fastest Growing Company of the Year and Executive of the Year at the American Business Awards and International Business Awards.

The Washington Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies awards were announced at a reception in mid-October.
