Digital transformation has taken hold, driving a new era of innovation in the data center and beyond. And with the weekend upon us, there’s no better time than the present to take a look at the week that was in network transformation news: Time for the Week in Review!

China Enterprise ICT Solutions announced its newest data center this week, a 14,000 square-meter facility in Beijing’s Yizhuang area that will aid in powering the firm’s enterprise cloud services. “In line with CITIC Telecom CPC’s service commitments, all DataHOUSE cloud data centers – including this latest Beijing DataHOUSE center – offer 24x7 monitoring services, customized hosting and co-location solutions, and diversified value-added services, such as remote service, smart rack management, and WAN acceleration,” the company explained. In our current phase of digital transformation many question marks still exist, as there can be a bit of a steep learning curve when it comes to some of the next-generation networking solutions coming to market. A guest contributed piece from Array Networks’ Paula Andersen explores networks functions platforms, and more HERE.

This week, ADTRAN announced the arrival of new system integrator services for service providers. The SD-Access accelerator delivers a pre-integrated R-CORD delivery solution. “ADTRAN SD-Access Accelerator offers turn-key solutions, making it easy to develop and evaluate minimal viable product sets while quickly adapting business processes,” said Kevin Barnes, AVP of Services and Solutions Integration at ADTRAN. “This can all be done without providers having to overhaul their underlying technology foundation before making a significant investment in SD-Access.” Complete coverage is HERE.

SD-WAN is certainly a space on the rise, garnering growing attention by the day – hence, the billion dollar market projections for coming years. This week, Versa Networks announced that it is the newest member of the Verizon software-defined networking ecosystem, with Versa’s Software Defined Secure Branch (SD-Branch) managed service playing a starring role.
