IT Hardware Re-Seller & Managed IT Consultants Giving Thanks in Silicon Valley

Menlo Park, CA, Nov 22, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- As the year 2012 comes to a close and IT network initiatives and IT equipment budgets near their quarterly if not yearly completion the Baynetwork, Inc. team wanted to take a moment out of their busy tech days to affect people's lives in a personal way. The Silicon Valley is one of the most financially and technologically affluent societies in the world, but the one thing most of us don't have or create for ourselves is time for others. While Baynetwork, Inc. as a company donated nine 16lb turkeys and two chickens to the Catholic Worker House in Redwood City, the Menlo Park staff recognized that volunteering time was just as critical as donating supplies.

In preparation for this year's Thanksgiving, the Baynetwork, Inc. team decided to volunteer their time at St. Anthony's Padua Dining Room in Menlo Park. The St. Anthony's Padua Dining Room has been serving low-income and the elderly since 1974. St. Anthony's Padua Dining Room currently serves an average of 450 needy individuals during the lunch hour 6 days a week and the Baynetwork, Inc. team was able to help the Padua Kitchen prepare for the daily lunch and some items for the Thanksgiving Day meal.

All Baynetwork, Inc. employees spoke about how wonderful and grateful the opportunity to give back to those in need and the town that the company's headquarters reside in. "It really is amazing to see how dedicated volunteers consistently help the less fortunate on such a regular basis and we at Baynetwork are privileged to be part of such an awesome and giving community." - Yuriy Petushkov Since 1997, Baynetwork, Inc. a premier re-seller of new, pre-owned, refurbished and used network hardware equipment, used Cisco Routers, Juniper Switches, Dell Servers, Barracuda Firewalls, Ixia Testing Equipment, ShoreTel VoIP and many other premier IT hardware brands, has helped define and shape the secondary market of the IT network equipment industry. From complete network design and configuration to security analysis and private cloud deployment, Baynetwork's array of managed IT services and rapid product procurement help thousands of companies deliver digital media and content across the globe with reduced costs and shortened lead-times. Baynetwork services also include IT network asset recovery, enterprise network security, data center IT hardware replacement and managed IT services.

The History of Fiber in Data Centers, Part II

As I stated at the close of "The History of Data Centers, Part I," Fiber Mountain™ believes data centers must evolve from hub and spoke architecture—in which traffic is aggregated and delivered to a central hub—to a design that includes many direct connections.

Three Things Your Boss Wants—No, Needs—To Know About Glass Core

Fiber Mountain™ CEO and Founder— plus my longtime friend—M.H. Raza does a terrific job on this blog of explaining how our Glass Core™ architecture transforms the way data centers build their network infrastructure.

The History of Fiber in Data Centers, Part I: Past and Present

Fiber Mountain, as our company name suggests, believes fiber cabling must play a central role in helping data centers scale affordably as bandwidth needs continue to grow. Before I go further down the path to the future, however, I want to back up and provide a high-level history of fiber in the data center.

Four Reasons to Make the Leap to SDN in Your Data Center

I'm always fascinated by what causes a business trend to emerge, grow and sometimes expand to actually redefining the industry as a whole. Having spent years in the technology field, I've found the networking sector particularly exciting in this regard because true innovation can and does transform entire segments of our industry. Revolutionary processes and technologies make past deployments and best practices look laughable in light of recent innovations.

Reflections From the Fiber Mountain Launch

Over the past weeks and months, the Fiber Mountain team has worked hard to prepare for our company launch at this year's Interop New York. In this post, I want to share our thoughts from the days leading up to the October 1st unveiling and about the event itself at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan.
